Northeastern University Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships Program is a two-year experiential program designed to advance lifelong learning and the education and training of Pharm.D. graduates. A key element of the program's success is preparing Fellows to meet evolving workforce needs across various sectors of the pharmaceutical industry.

Fellows have the opportunity to work closely with our innovative biopharmaceutical industry partners, while engaging with Northeastern University faculty in professional and career development, teaching, service, and scholarly activities.

In partnership with Northeastern University, Intellia Therapeutics is offering a two-year Global Medical Affairs fellowship, based in Cambridge, MA.

Guided by this full-spectrum approach, we are committed to making CRISPR-based medicines a reality for people suffering from genetic diseases and to creating novel engineered cell therapies for various rare diseases.

Responsibilities

During the program, the fellow will work collaboratively and cross-functionally within Intellia's Medical Affairs (MA) group to support launch readiness strategy and execution for lonvoguran ziclumeran (lonvo-z, or NTLA-2002) in the Medical Director Team for the first year. The fellow will also have the opportunity to rotate to an elective of their choice, with options including Scientific Communications, Medical Information, Field Medical, or Medical Operations for the second year.

Medical Affairs Fellowship Objectives:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Intellia's CRISPR gene editing technology as well as HAE disease pathophysiology, epidemiology, and treatment landscape to support scientific exchange within the medical community

  • Support the development and execution of the strategic medical launch plan and collaborate with cross-functional team on the development and execution of the brand strategy plan

  • Develop scientific communication materials for internal training and external HCP education

  • Support the development and execution of the strategic medical and publication plans, including the potential to participate in evidence generation and/or publication preparation

  • Collaborate with US and Global cross-functional stakeholders to prepare materials for key scientific conferences and support on-site medical activities

  • Utilize clinical expertise to develop timely, accurate, and scientifically balanced responses to unsolicited medical information inquiries

  • Staff Medical Booths and participate in the overall strategy and execution at Scientific Congresses

  • Support insight generation efforts, including the potential to participate in planning a medical advisory board or to serve as a subject matter expert for cross-functional efforts, like market research or survey studies

  • Network across the Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Commercial organizations to gain a thorough understanding of industry opportunities and expand upon experiences through additional projects of interest

  • Be an active contributor to execute on medical strategies within the Medical Affairs Teams

  • Foster collaboration and leadership skills through cross-functional projects

    Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution
  • Eligible for pharmacist licensure in the State of Massachusetts
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on a variety of projects at both the industry site and Northeastern

  • Capability to be in a hybrid-role, with expectation to be onsite at Intellia approximately 4x/mo (may be higher depending on needs)

    Expected Hiring Range:
    $59,425.00 - $83,935.00

    With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
